Honoring Loved Ones, Inspiring Hope: My Commitment to Fighting Pancreatic Cancer with Modern Prairie

Dear Friends,

I’m writing to share something very close to my heart. As many of you know, pancreatic cancer has touched my life in profound ways. Two incredible men who were like family to me, Michael Landon and Patrick Swayze, both lost their battles with this devastating disease. Their passing left a lasting impact on me, and it deepened my commitment to raising awareness and supporting the fight against pancreatic cancer.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive and deadliest forms of cancer, with a five-year survival rate of just 13%. It’s a disease that often goes undetected until it’s too late, which is why raising awareness and supporting research is so crucial.

To honor the memories of Michael and Patrick, and to support those who are battling this disease, I’m proud to announce Modern Prairie’s partnership with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN). Together, we’ve curated a special collection of products, each designed with love and purpose. This collection includes women’s and children’s bonnets, a set of three pocket squares, our signature pie carrier, a cozy throw, and a versatile tote bag—all featuring a beautiful purple print, the color representing pancreatic cancer awareness.

By purchasing these items, you’re not only adding something special to your home or wardrobe, but you’re also contributing to a cause that desperately needs our attention. A portion of the proceeds* from each sale will go directly to PanCAN, supporting their vital work in research, patient services, and advocacy.
